THE OTTER MAN. THE SHAPESHIFTER. THE CALLER FROM SHORE.

Along the foggy shores and inlets of Alaska, the Kushtaka waits — not with teeth bared, but with mimicry. A creature from Tlingit legend, this otter-like shapeshifter is said to lure lost travelers with the cries of loved ones, only to lead them into madness… or worse.

Stories tell of Kushtaka appearing as a man one moment, an otter the next. Of travelers hearing cries for help, only to find themselves surrounded by icy water and silence. Some say Kushtaka converts victims, turning them into one of its own — a fate worse than drowning.

Warding symbols, copper, and dog companions are said to offer protection, but few venture near Kushtaka territory after dark. Because once you hear that voice — the one that sounds so familiar — it’s already too late.

The Kushtaka doesn’t chase. It calls. And if you answer… you’re not coming back the same.
